We’re looking for a talented early-career Software Engineer and collaborative problem solver to take ownership of our applications. You will be responsible for independently designing, developing, and maintaining these robust and scalable solutions through the entire agile life cycle. The ideal candidate is passionate about building high-performance, stable software and is committed to staying current with the latest technologies and trends in web development and AI/ML.
YourImpact
- Design, develop, test, and document Cloud-based as well as stand-alone AI-driven micro-services with support for RESTful APIs and UI
- Integrate AI-powered features into applications
- Configure automated system integration through CI/CD
- Track different aspects of development and testing work in an Agile process
- Create automated tests leveraging AI/ML
- Follow security guidance in the development process as well as in SW design
- BS or MS in Computer Science, or related fields
- Proficient in programming in Python and/or Java
- Proficient in database:
Mongo and/or PostgreSQL - Experience in front-end GUI and back-end server development
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks like Tensor Flow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, or OpenAI APIs.
- Familiarity with AWS Cloud and native services such as EC2, S3
- Familiarity with MLOps best practices for AI deployment and monitoring
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proactive and takes initiative to identify and address potential problems or opportunities
- Highly adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Self-motivation, teamwork and experience working in a fast-paced agile environment are highly desired

LocationDC or Boston Metro areas. Onsite 5 days a week at either our Arlington, VA or Boston, MA office.
Work is performed in a climate-controlled office setting in either an open-plan office with potential for consistent noise and interruptions, or in a private office. Conditions are usually standard office lighting and moderate temperature ranges.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000 to $110,000, and may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, Federated Wireless considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
