Senior Modeling & Simulation Engineer

Sedaro is hiring Modeling & Simulation Engineers to build the high fidelity simulation software that powers our cutting‑edge simulation platform and help transform how aerospace technology is built.

• Team: Modeling & Simulation, reporting to the Team Lead
• Location: In person in Arlington, VA
• Ability to obtain a TS security clearance

Our simulation platform enables digital mission engineering and model‑based optimization through distributed, multi‑domain, rapid analysis across hundreds of interacting systems. Our simulations have run at massive scale in data centers, in the loop with hardware in the lab, and on‑orbit onboard real space hardware. As a Modeling & Simulation Engineer, you will be a hands‑on individual contributor focused on expanding our platform's simulation capabilities. Your responsibilities will include:

• Taking ownership of technical projects and driving development.
• Developing high‑fidelity simulation software and analysis tools for a diverse range of complex systems and validating these models against real‑world data.
• Configuring and executing large‑scale multi‑simulation studies that leverage cloud compute resources for uncertainty quantification, sensitivity analysis, and optimization.
• Performing code review for peers and providing technical feedback and suggestions to other engineering teams to drive platform improvement.
• Supporting contract meetings with technical input and demonstrations to external stakeholders.

Junior - Staff Level will be considered

• Bachelor's degree in physics, applied math, engineering, or similar
• Proficiency writing software to model complex physical systems
• Experience with git, automated testing, and related software development tools & practices
• Experience validating simulation models against real‑world data
• Experience with data analysis and visualization
