Seeking an experienced Engineer to join a fast-growing IT firm working on cutting-edge technologies. The Engineer will be building reusable SaaS components to ingest various types of data into a cloud environment using ETL tools.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years’ experience with implementation of large enterprise systems or distributed computing environment.
• 7+ years in Java, C# is a plus but not required.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring, JPA and Hibernate.
• Proficiency in RDBMS including SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle.
• Proven track record of designing scalable, distributed software applications.
• Proficiency in ETL development using tools such as Pentaho.
• Experience in solving big-data problems using Open Source technologies such as Hadoop/HDFS and HBase on a cloud platform.

• Take a product through the entire lifecycle of analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation and support.
• Implement all aspects of application design – high-performance design, coding, caching mechanisms, security, encryption, state management, error logging, debugging, scalability, code reviews, environment configuration, and testing.
• Perform unit and system-level testing of applications.
• Develop reusable loosely‑coupled software components to deploy on cloud platforms.
• Implement ETL processes utilizing Pentaho.
• Implement business‑layers as web service using Java, Spring Framework and JPA.
• Develop presentation layers using JavaScript, Bootstrap, CSS, and HTML while utilizing MVC architecture.
• Experience using COTS products to integrate systems at an enterprise level.
• Familiarity in UI front‑end development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience in building business workflows using Business Process Management.
• Cloudera ecosystems:
  Hive, Pig, Impala, HBase, Mahout, Spark.
