Senior FPGA Development Engineer, Bespoke Solutions

- Develop custom RTL and integrate with third‑party libraries to build end‑to‑end 100G+ solutions.
- Collaborate with design and system engineers to perform tradeoffs and architect new solutions for customers.
- Own the interface between software and hardware by developing drivers and providing software examples.
- Lead design meetings to plan development and review peer designs.
- Identify new opportunities and technologies to improve the customer experience and add features.
You will work on a cross‑functional team of hardware and software developers, writing programmable logic and embedded software to interact with custom hardware. You will debug RTL in simulation, synthesize and implement ensuring it meets timing and performance requirements. You will deploy RTL onto hardware targets, debug issues that arise in RTL, hardware, or software, and provide subject‑matter expertise in architectural discussions and strategic planning meetings.
SecurityClearance Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must currently possess and maintain an active Secret security clearance.
- After starting, must obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph or a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of non‑internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- 7+ years of non‑internship professional RTL development experience.
- 3+ years of experience developing programmable logic in VHDL or Verilog for FPGA SoCs.
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 7+ years of full RTL development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Experience developing programmable logic for FPGAs in VHDL or Verilog.
- Experience with Xilinx Ultrascale+ FPGAs, Versal ACAPs, and/or Intel Agilex SoCs.
- Experience developing programmable logic for 100G networking systems.
- Current, active U.S. Government security clearance of Top Secret or above.
