Software Engineer, Backend Developer, Cloud Engineer - Software

Hyper-growth defense tech startup is looking to add a Staff Software Engineer to its rapidly expanding engineering team. This is an opportunity to build mission-critical software powering next-generation data intelligence mapping software for commercial and intelligence clients.

You’ll play a key role in designing and architecting scalable backend systems while contributing across the full stack in a collaborative, fast-moving environment. Working alongside software, AI/ML, infrastructure, and forward‑deployed engineering teams.

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend development experience using Node.js (preferred), Go, Scala, Python, Rust, or another modern programming language.
• Experience designing scalable system architectures and distributed applications.
• Hands‑on experience deploying cloud‑native applications in AWS.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern Dev Ops practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field.
• Background developing AI/ML solutions
• Experience building scalable data pipelines with modern data orchestration tools and/or background with cloud‑based data warehousing platforms
• Experience building software for distributed or resource‑constrained environments.
• Startup experience building products from the ground up.
