Position SummaryARA is looking for a skilled Salesforce Developer who is ready to take real ownership of a platform that matters. ARA is just completing a meaningful technology transformation, and this role sits at the center of it. You will build, enhance, and support solutions across membership, events, sales, and service delivery on Salesforce with Fonteva, partnering closely with business and technical teams to deliver work that directly serves our members and staff.
This is a great fit for someone with three to five years of Salesforce development experience who is approaching the senior level. You have solid Apex and LWC capability, good instincts about when to build versus configure, and a track record of delivering in real production environments. You take pride in clean, maintainable work and communicate well across technical and non-technical audiences.
Fonteva experience is highly valued and will give you a strong head start. If you have worked in an association, membership, or nonprofit Salesforce environment, you already know the context we operate in. If not, a strong developer who is curious about the domain is equally welcome. Architecture and technical design experience is a plus and opens a natural growth path in this role.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, test, and support solutions using Apex, Flow, Lightning Web Components, and platform configuration
- Develop and extend functionality in a Fonteva-based association management environment
- Translate business requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions in close partnership with analysts and stakeholders
- Support core processes across membership, events, commerce, service and case management, and sales
- Troubleshoot defects, resolve production issues, and improve platform reliability and performance
- Build and support integrations and data flows using Salesforce APIs and event-based approaches
- Follow and help mature development standards around testing, documentation, deployment, and change control
- Contribute to code reviews, release readiness, and technical documentation
- You know our core Salesforce and Fonteva workflows, environments, and priorities
- You have resolved a meaningful set of high-priority defects or enhancements
- You are operating productively within our development and release process
- You are delivering quality enhancements with strong testing and documentation
- Stakeholders trust your execution and your communication
- You have improved reliability in at least one key business process
- You are a dependable, independent contributor on the platform
- Your work ships with less rework and stronger release quality
- You are helping stabilize and mature post-launch operations as a trusted team member
- Three or more years of hands-on Salesforce development experience with Apex and Lightning Web Components
- Experience delivering in Salesforce production environments with real business process complexity
- Solid understanding of the Salesforce data model, security model, automation, and platform best practices
- Sound judgment in balancing declarative and programmatic approaches
- Ability to troubleshoot across code, configuration, integrations, and data
- Experience with deployments, testing, and release management in a structured environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical partners
- Experience with Fonteva or another membership or association-oriented Salesforce managed package
- Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I/II
- Experience Cloud and identity experience (SSO via SAML/OIDC, JIT provisioning, community user management) in a member-facing context
- Association, membership, events, credentialing, and commerce/payment workflows (including awareness of PCI-related constraints and best practices)
- Familiarity with integrations, APIs, and asynchronous processing patterns
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and modern Salesforce deployment practices
This is an opportunity to help shape a modern Salesforce implementation at a mission-driven organization, with work that directly impacts how we serve members and scale our programs. You will have meaningful ownership, close partnership with leadership, and a platform roadmap that rewards strong engineering discipline and pragmatic solution design.
