Senior QA Engineer - IPPS-A​/PeopleSoft Testing

Overview

Nakupuna Companies is seeking a Quality Engineer IV to provide software testing, data collection and analysis, subject matter expertise, and mentorship supporting the execution of a large size, multi-year contract to the Integrated Personnel and Pay System – Army (IPPS-A) Army Military Payroll (AMP.The Quality Engineer IV will conduct quality testing on the People Soft Human Capital Management (HCM) deliverables to ensureoptimalfunctionsfor the Army client.

The Quality Engineer IV willbe responsible for assessing software functionality and performance through both manual and automated testing,where necessary.

The Quality Engineer IV will gather and compile test metric data. Using this data, theymaydraft reports on the functionality and performance of the software for AMP andmaydistribute these reports to other senior managers. These performance reports may also be delivered to the Army client.

The Quality Engineer IV should be comfortable working in an agile environment, resolving complex problems if and whenthey arise. Whilethe Quality Engineer IV will be capable of solving the most complex problems without much assistance from other team members, collaboration with the various Agile Teams will be a common aspect of the position, andthe Quality Engineer IV should be comfortable with data sharing and information sharing across teams.

As a senior engineer, mentorship of junior staff-membersmayalso be part of this position, and the Quality Engineer IV should be willing to coach team members across the AMP program.

• Reviews software requirements and specifications to develop testing strategies for a product or release.

• Builds reusable test functions or components.

• Executes manual as well as automated tests where necessary to assess software functionality and performance using multiple systems, platforms, environments, or browsers.

• Identifies, logs, and tracks defects.

• Reports technical issues to development or product management teams andverifiesfixes.

• Compiles, update,maintains, and distribute test metrics.

• Performs work with a high degree of latitude.

• Handles the most complex issues.

• Possesses solid working knowledge of Quality Engineering processes.

• Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.

• May act as lead or first-level supervisor.

Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience within the federal government, DoD, Army, or IC and/or private sector preferred. Must have experience with Software Testing applications such as Azure Dev Ops (ADO),Open Text UFT,Load Runner, People Soft, or other ERP experience a plus.

Skills/Qualifications:Certifications in IAT Level II andSAFefor Teams preferred.

Mustbe able to work independently and as part of a team. Needs great interpersonal/communication skills. Able to translate customer requirements to team goals.

Clearance Requirements:This position requires a current Secret clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Work Location:Work location will be in Arlington,Virginia2 days on-site with a hybrid option. Occasional travel may be required.
