Goodera helps companies enable employees to volunteer with thousands of nonprofits in 100+ countries. We execute host‑led volunteering experiences that are accessible, engaging, and impactful for the world's leading organizations like IBM, Amazon, Service Now – 60 of our 400+ customers today are from the Fortune 500 club.

In 2025, we engaged 450,000+ volunteers across 10,000+ events globally and our hosts were at the center of each experience.

The Role

We're looking for engaging Emcee/Event Hosts to lead corporate volunteering experiences end‑to‑end – from setup to facilitation to wrap‑up – so volunteers leave energized and nonprofits feel truly supported. You'll join a global community of 2,000+ hosts and represent Goodera on the ground with warmth, confidence, and high attention to detail.

This role requires someone who thrives in front of people, thinks quickly on their feet, and genuinely loves creating memorable experiences and is passionate about the well‑being of our communities.

Time Commitment

This is a flexible, freelance position with events ranging from 2‑4 hours.

What You’ll Do
  • Host and facilitate corporate volunteering events (virtual or in‑person), keeping energy high and instructions crystal clear.
  • Run the event flow: opening, agenda, transitions, time‑keeping, engagement moments, closing, and next steps.
  • Manage setup and logistics: materials check, room/Zoom readiness, volunteer instructions, and contingency planning.
  • Create a standout volunteer experience: make people feel welcome, included, and confident in what they're doing.
  • Capture and share impact moments: photos/videos, volunteer quotes, attendance notes, and short highlights for recap.
  • Connect with nonprofit partners to ensure alignment on goals, beneficiary context, and post‑event follow‑through.
  • Troubleshoot in real time: adapt quickly when plans shift, and keep the group calm and moving.
  • You genuinely enjoy public speaking and feel energized (not drained) when presenting to groups.
  • You can read the room and adjust your approach based on the audience, whether they're quiet and hesitant or loud and enthusiastic.
  • You’re equally comfortable facilitating large groups (30‑100 people) and connecting one‑on‑one with individual participants.
  • You communicate clearly and concisely under pressure, making complex instructions easy to follow.
You Have High‑Energy Stage Presence
  • You can sustain your energy for 2‑4 hours without letting the experience dip.
  • You have a sense of fun and warmth that makes people feel comfortable and excited to participate.
  • You can manage group dynamics: engage quiet participants, redirect talkative ones, and keep everyone on track.
  • You’re comfortable "holding the room" maintaining control and attention even with distractions.
  • You can think on your feet: when tech fails, a partner is late, or the plan changes, you adapt seamlessly without visible stress.
  • You maintain professionalism while keeping things lighthearted and approachable.
