POSITION TITLE:
Middle School Assistant Principal
Anticipated to begin 7/1/26
HOURS:
8 hr/day, 5 day/wk, 255 day/yr (less 2 furlough days for the 2026/2027 contract)
30 days of vacation, 13 paid holidays, 2 personal days, plus sick leave (prorated based upon start date)
SALARY: $ - $ based on the 2026/2027 AAA contract (includes two furlough
days and based upon start date)
LOCATION:
Haller Middle School
REPORTS TO:
Principal and Superintendent
BENEFITS:
Employees anticipated to work 630 hours in a school calendar year may be
eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Long-term Disability Insurance, Life
Insurance, Pension, VEBA, and 403(b).
Up to 12 sick days and 2 personal days, prorated based upon start date
Arlington Public Schools is seeking a visionary and creative Assistant Principal who is a strong instructional leader who understands teaching, learning, child development, and intellectual curiosity.
SUMMARY:
As a member of the administrative team, the Middle School Assistant Principal is directly responsible to the principal. This person will perform school building administrative tasks as delegated by the principal with primary responsibility for creating a productive student learning environment. He/she will also be a member of the district administration team to articulate the district's strategic plan and provide visionary leadership necessary to attain goals.
