CNC Lathe Machinists

• As a CNC Lathe Machinist at Newell, you’ll be a key player in our precision manufacturing operations. You will:
• Operate CNC lathe machines, including Fanuc controls, to produce complex parts with high precision.
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate machining.
• Set up tooling, fixtures, and work pieces accurately using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues related to electrical discharge machining and machining parameters.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and tooling to assist in part inspection, assembly, or secondary operations as needed.
• Maintain detailed documentation of production runs and machine logs in compliance with quality standards.

• Proven experience operating CNC lathe machines with Fanuc or similar control systems.
• Knowledge of G-code editing.
• Ability to read blueprints and apply GD&T principles for precise manufacturing.
• Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes including plastics injection molding and welding.
• Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances accurately.
• Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills for troubleshooting machine issues promptly.

  : 5:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday–Thursday
• 2nd Shift: 3:30 p.m.
