Job Description
The Assembler 2 is responsible for assembling aerospace structural sections from parts, subassemblies, and components independently and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Perform assembly tasks with a high level of skill.
- Complete daily tasks without supervision.
- Install units, parts, equipment, and components in structural assembly according to blueprints and specifications, using hand tools and power tools.
- Bolt, screw, or rivet accessories to fasten, support, or hang components and subassemblies.
- Drill holes in structure and subassemblies, and attach brackets, hinges, or clips to secure installation or to fasten subassemblies.
- Locate and mark reference points and holes for installation of parts and components using jigs, templates, and measuring instruments.
- Inspect and test installed units, parts, and equipment for fit, performance, and compliance with standards, using measuring instruments and test equipment.
- Position and align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures using measuring instruments, following blueprint lines and index points.
- Cut, trim, and file parts, and verify fitting tolerances to prepare for installation.
- Install bushings using liquid nitrogen or presses as required.
- Apply sealants or paint per customer specifications using proper safety devices.
- Utilize shop equipment such as C-squeeze, arbor presses, ground stud puller, cherry pullers, and shop hand tools.
- Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications using standard measuring tools.
- Run parts that meet engineering specifications without supervision.
- Read and interpret manufacturing drawings at an intermediate level.
- Recognize production problems, inform supervisor, and make recommendations for improvements or solutions.
- Complete work instructions thoroughly.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Follow 5-S procedures and work in an organized manner, making recommendations and taking initiative to improve the area.
- Meet job Time Standards without supervision.
- Produce parts with high quality and minimal non-conformances.
- Proficiency in assembly, sub-assembly, and mechanical assembly tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Understanding of rivet and bolt techniques.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Mechanically inclined with good manual dexterity.

Work EnvironmentThe role requires working with various shop equipment such as C-squeeze, arbor presses, ground stud puller, cherry pullers, and shop hand tools. The work environment is structured around safety procedures and organized according to 5-S principles to ensure efficiency and quality. The workplace demands adherence to safety equipment and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Arlington, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 – $25.00/hr.
