Job Description

As a CDL A Driver, you will operate commercial motor vehicles to ensure timely, accurate delivery of beverages to retail locations. This role involves following schedules, maintaining vehicle safety, logging deliveries, and interacting with store personnel.

Job Details

Schedule:

5:00am - 3:30pm, 4/10s, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

Pay: $30.48 per hour (base range $30.48 - $33.87) with bonus potential.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate and maneuver commercial delivery vehicles to transport beverages to designated retail locations, following predetermined routes and schedules, ensuring on‑time and accurate deliveries while adapting to traffic and weather conditions.
  • Load and unload beverage products using proper handling techniques, stock back rooms/back stock areas as requested, pick up and return pallets, shells, and assigned product at each delivery location.
  • Conduct thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the vehicle to identify and report maintenance or safety issues.
  • Utilize electronic devices or paper documentation to confirm deliveries, track inventory, and maintain accurate records, collaborating with logistics to ensure accurate inventory counts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
  • Interact professionally with store personnel and establish positive relationships with store managers and staff.
  • Maintain a valid CDL‑A license.
  • Complete all assigned training and attend meetings as assigned, assisting with special projects and events.
Requirements
  • High school diploma (or GED) and/or equivalent degree/certificate required.
  • Ability to drive a manual transmission preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Driving record must meet Swire's vehicle policy requirements.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as directed, with flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, routes, and delivery demands.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; physical capability to lift and move heavy beverage cases repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with customers, clients, and team members.
Compensation

Base pay range is $30.48 to $33.87 per hour plus bonus structure (dependent on role). Pay offered will depend on candidate’s geographic location, prior relevant experience, knowledge, skills, & abilities.

Employees and families are offered medical, dental, vision; union pension with employer contributions; sick pay awarded at 1 hour per 40 hours work; annually 7 paid holidays plus up to 2 floating holidays; vacation of 40 hours available next calendar year; eligible for paid Bereavement and Jury Duty.
