Logistics Specialist
The Logistics Specialist is a pivotal role responsible for the receiving, order picking, and shipment of products to both internal and external customers. This position demands attention to detail and proficiency in using computers and standard warehouse software. The role may also involve forklift operation, the use of power hand tools, and requires the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
You will support the Logistics Department's daily activities and personnel, either as directed by or in the absence of the Logistics Manager, adhering to guidelines and procedures established by them.
Responsibilities:
- Receive shipments of incoming materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently.
- Select appropriate packaging materials and containers according to customer requirements.
- Route outgoing shipments through various means and complete applicable paperwork such as customs invoices, bills of lading, barcode labels, job pick lists, and manufacturing orders.
- Pull parts from stores and finished goods while maintaining inventory accuracy and traceability of lot numbers.
- Maintain shipment history files.
- Interface with Purchasing, Production Control, Program Management, and Scheduling to ensure timely movement of material through the internal supply chain.
- Support management as directed.
- Perform part marking and over-coating using Manufacturing Order instructions, blueprints, and desktop instructions.
- Adhere to all departmental, company, and regulatory Trade Compliance guidelines.
- Follow all safety guidelines established by the company, including proper use of equipment and relevant safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential
Skills:
- Experience in logistics, receiving, inventory, shipping and receiving, picking and packing, order picking, general labor, unloading, customer service, load management, and forklift operation.
- Proficiency in supply chain, shipping, receiving, order picking, RF scanner usage, data entry, pallet jack operation, loading, and material handling.

Qualifications:
- Motivated and dependable individual with strong attention to detail who arrives on time for the start of shifts.
- Ability to adhere to a flexible and demanding schedule that may result in short days, short-notice unscheduled overtime, or additional weekend shifts.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity or proficiency in Word, Excel, and keyboarding.
- Experience in using hand and power tools such as hammers, drills, nail and staple guns.
- Approved training in forklift operation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arlington, WA.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
