Position Summary: The Department of Communications in the School of Liberal Arts seeks part‑time faculty from diverse backgrounds to teach introductory level courses in public speaking, media, group and interpersonal communication. Course offerings include day, evening or weekend in‑person sessions, synchronous online (virtual meetings) and asynchronous online (no scheduled meetings). In‑person classes are taught on the Arnold campus and at alternative sites such as Arundel Mills, Glen Burnie, and various Anne Arundel County public high schools.
Job Duties And Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction in accordance with the established curriculum and course outlines.
- Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.
- Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part‑time faculty member.
- Teach all scheduled classes.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Assess student progress in meeting learning objectives through formal and informal assessment, submit grades, attendance, and other required information on time, and adhere to safety procedures and departmental standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in communications.
- Preferred: five years of related professional experience.
- Previous college‑level teaching experience.

Pay: $3,510 to $3,789 per class.
