The Department of Visual Arts at Anne Arundel Community College is seeking a part-time animation instructor to guide students in the fundamentals of visual storytelling, teaching core principles of animation, focusing on traditional hand drawn frame-by-frame techniques, and stop-motion production. Applicants should be prepared to teach online Sync.

• The Department seeks instructors in particular to teach the following courses:
  Animation 1
• Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
• Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.
• Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
• Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time faculty member.
• Teach all scheduled classes.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Assignments may include day, evening, weekend, on-line and/or off-campus classes.

• Candidates should be an active practitioner in the discipline and should possess a Master of Fine Arts in a related discipline.
• Please include a link to an online portfolio containing samples of professional work that demonstrate expertise in this area.

• Two years teaching experience in Animation or related discipline at the college level.

The pay rate for this position is $1,170.00-$1,263.00 per faculty load hour.
