Position Type: Part-Time Faculty, Exempt

The Legal Studies Institute is seeking part-time faculty who can teach paralegal and legal focused courses in either a remote or in person environment. Familiarity with the Canvas Learning Management System is a plus. A strong candidate should have proven ability to teach college‑level legal‑based courses with a fundamental understanding of recent and future trends for the Paralegal field and experience with a wide range of legal‑specific computer applications is highly preferred.

• Assessing student progress in meeting course learning objectives through formal and informal assessment.
• Holding in‑person or virtual office hours.
• Meeting required deadlines for submitting grades and attendance.
• Participating in assessment and/or accreditation activities.
• Adhering to safety procedures and departmental standards.

• J.D. degree.
• Member in good standing of Maryland Bar or another state bar.
• Prior teaching experience.
