We are expanding in the Greater Annapolis, MD area with our new office centrally located in Arnold, MD and seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (PRN) to join our team.

The PRN performs client assessments, monitors caregiver performance and creates and updates care plans for clients. Will participate and lead caregiver onboarding and orientation process, through competency skills checks of caregivers. This job will be performed on a PRN schedule. Compensation is between $40.00 - $50.00 per hour for overseeing training, support and skills evaluation of caregiver. $100 flat pay for initial client assessment and $75 per follow-up assessment.

Initial assessments take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to complete, and follow-up assessments are about 30 minutes +/-. Hours may vary.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Travel to clients' homes and complete all documentation for nursing assessments and observations.
  • Care Plan evaluations pertaining to clients and caregivers.
  • Evaluate clients (assessments) on a regular basis and/or as necessary to ensure client needs are consistent with the care plan
  • Coordinate with management on implementing and revising operational procedures related to quality client care
  • Utilize professional assessment skills to identify physical, mental, and psychosocial needs of client and be able to develop a care plan to meet these needs in a multi-disciplinary approach
  • Perform follow-up client assessments as per state and company policy
  • Function as a resource and mentor to peers and subordinates to maintain professional nursing standards
  • Act on client’s behalf to assure patient rights
  • Be aware of home safety issues, strive to accomplish all responsibilities in a safe manner, and consistently reinforce good safety attitude and practices displayed by other staff members
  • Lead and participate in caregiver onboarding, training & orientation through competency skills checks.
  • Coach all caregiver staff in proper safety procedures and consistently reinforce procedures

Qualifications:

  • Able to work as a team member
  • Able to maintain confidential information
  • Able to communicate effectively with company staff, clients, client families, and referral sources, community entities
  • Ability to effectively problem solve
  • Able to instruct and assign work to caregivers while on duty
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills, adaptable in different situations, and possess excellent client interaction skills
  • Able to multi-task and work independently

Required Education and Experience:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Current, unencumbered Maryland Registered Nurse license
  • CPR Certification
  • Current TB Test
  • Must maintain CEU requirements as required by the Board of Nursing
  • Reliable transportation
