About the Role:
Allergy & Asthma Associates in Arnold, MD is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our specialized healthcare team. Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient examinations and allergy/asthma procedures
• Administer allergy injections and perform allergy skin testing under provider supervision
• Record and update patient medical histories, vital signs, and chief complaints in the EHR system
• Prepare and maintain clean, stocked exam rooms between patient visits
• Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and provide excellent front-to-back office support
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and allergy/asthma management techniques
• Handle lab specimens, process referrals, and manage prior authorizations as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required;
  Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferred
• Prior experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or specialty practice setting preferred
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced specialty medical environment
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
