Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Lead System Administrator, supporting TOS II, at Arnold Air Force Base, TN. As a Lead System Administrator, you will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for design, support and maintenance of IT Systems and Peripherals for the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Job SummaryBeyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) is the team selected by the U.S. Air Force to conduct Test and Operations Sustainment at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee. AEDC operates more than 55 aerodynamic and propulsion wind tunnels, rocket and turbine engine test cells, space environmental chambers, arc heaters, ballistic ranges and other specialized units located in six states.
Many of the complex's test units have capabilities unmatched elsewhere in the United States; some are unique in the world. AEDC is one of three installations which are part of the Air Force Test Center (AFTC), one of six subordinate commands of the Air Force Materiel Command organization, and an important national resource.
AEDC’s mission is to conduct developmental test and evaluation for the Nation through modeling, simulation, and ground and flight test. Execution of the mission requires a large team of highly qualified and dedicated professionals from multiple technical disciplines to effectively accomplish the objectives of our test customers.
Job Duties- Lead and mentor IT System Administrator staff, managing expectations and goals.
- Interface with test customers (Air Force, civilians and consultants), and other BNH personnel to ensure objectives are being met.
- Attend morning standup meetings as scheduled by the test team.
- Deploy, configure, and manage Windows workstation and server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Manage the end‑to‑end lifecycle of the server environment, including design, deployment, maintenance, and storage configuration.
- Automate system configurations, patching, and administrative tasks using Power Shell.
- Enforce cybersecurity controls, harden systems to DoD standards, manage GPOs, and audit security baselines in partnership with the ISSM.
- Monitor system performance, execute patch management with tools like SCCM and WSUS, and perform vulnerability remediation.
- Develop, maintain, and deploy standardized operating system images for enterprise‑wide provisioning using WDS, MDT, and SCCM.
- Provide advanced Tier 2/3 technical support and complex troubleshooting for end‑users across diverse hardware and software platforms.
- Implement and test robust backup strategies and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and system resilience.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, implement, and document scalable system improvements and virtualization projects.
- Develop testing schedules, manage project timelines, and stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
- It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
