Contract Type: 6 months contract to hire

Salary: Up to $100,000 - $110,000 per year (conversion) (Relocation assistance available)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Linux Systems Administrator with expertise in Redhat and Bash scripting to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in automation and patching scripts, primarily using Bash, and will be flexible with years of experience, open to candidates with 2-3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

• Perform full system upgrades and repairs on Linux and Windows platforms.
• Troubleshoot and repair operating system (OS) and hardware issues.
• Conduct daily and weekly system backups and recovery, maintaining logs of system problems, errors, failures, and downtime metrics.
• Maintain hardware and software inventory lists and install software releases and upgrades.
• Evaluate and install security patches; create and ensure operation of Active Directory and DNS.
• Create accounts and set up user-specific access while maintaining group policies and procedures.
• Acquire system accreditation and ensure personnel comply with system security policies.
• Submit requirements within Service+ for computer, storage, database, SharePoint, or Tableau infrastructure provisioning to be fulfilled by the UDS contractor.
• Work on 3D printers, managing vendor-specific requirements.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of related field or work experience.
• Knowledge of the LINUX operating system, particularly Redhat.
• Experience with Windows Administration, including:
  • Active Directory
  • Hardening Windows instances per DISA STIG or equivalent
  • Power Shell scripting
  • Local Group Policy Updates/Management
  • Users and Group Management
  • Windows File Shares
• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) or cloud architecture:
  • Amazon EC2 (create and update Amazon Machine Images)
  • Amazon S3 (configure bucket policies, Amazon VPC endpoints)
  • AWS Lambda
  • Amazon Cloud Watch
  • Amazon VPC (manage Security Groups, Subnets, etc.)
  • AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Experience with Dalim software (Dalim Twist, Dalim Litho, Dalim ES) is a huge plus.
