What Impact You'll Have The primary role for this task is to serve as a technical team member supporting custom data management and advanced system operations, focusing on process improvement, maintenance, and alignment of GEOINT dissemination systems to emerging NGA standards. This position performs services requiring specialized expertise in geospatial data analysis, automation, data management and system administration. Supports a variety of data issues to include ontology, schema, format and file types of current or future data holdings.
What You'll be Owning
* Develop and implement automation strategies to streamline seamless data handling, data integrity, and distribution processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
* Develop and apply methods to identify, collect, process, and analyze large volumes of data to build and enhance GEOINT processes, and systems.
* Design and deploy custom automation tools to facilitate streamlined workflows, rapid and secure data transfer, minimizing manual intervention and reducing turnaround times.
* Apply AI/ML techniques to enhance geospatial analysis capabilities and improve accuracy in data extraction from various sources.
* Develop API-based integration solutions to improve data exchange between NGA and partner systems.
* Maintain Legacy Python codebase, integrate codebase new security requirements and future Source dissemination solutions.
* Collaborate with GEOINT content teams to integrate automated quality checks, ensuring the highest standards of data integrity and reliability. What You Must Have
* US Citizen with a TS/SCI Clearance and ability to obtain a CI Polygraph
* 5 years of combined experience in the field with a college coursework in a relevant field of study.
* Mid-level proficiency in Python and other object-oriented programming languages.
* Demonstrated experience with relevant Python libraries including Pandas and Geopandas.
* Advanced experience using Python to automate complex workflows and integrate with cloud services.
* Proven experience with relational databases and web development tools, including API integration.
* Extensive experience in database administration and cloud-based data management.
* Deep knowledge of GEOINT products, data formats, and satellite imagery systems.
* Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate across organizations.
* Extensive experience developing and implementing process improvements.
* Experience using AI/ML for feature extraction, data enrichment, and predictive analytics What Would be Nice to Have
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study
* Certifications in Python and other programming languages
* Experience implementing machine learning solutions
* Advanced experience with geospatial analysis and data manipulation
* Deep understanding of NGA systems including Custom Media Services, NSG Consolidated Library, and Gateway
* In depth understanding of Enterprise File Delivery (EFD)
* Practical experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems, particularly Red Hat Linux
* Understanding of NGA's mission partners and Intelligence Community requirements
