Job Highlights- Typical hours:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (no weekends or holidays) - Strong communication, teamwork, empathy, and interpersonal skills
- Based in Arnold, MO
- Experience with EPIC, pediatrics, and POC testing are beneficial but not required
- Work with children 0‑18 years old; must be comfortable administering vaccines
Provides care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, functioning within the scope of license.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements- Contribute to the assessment of patients and ensure their well-being
- Administer medications and observe patients for adverse reactions
- Perform laboratory tests and therapeutic services
- Educate patients/families about disease treatment plans, self‑care post‑discharge, holistic health needs, available resources, and follow‑up care
- May document the provider's encounter, including diagnoses, symptoms, discharge instructions, and prescriptions
- May transcribe patient orders, laboratory and radiology results, and ensure orders are completed for provider decision‑making
- May transcribe consultations or discussions with family and/or the patient's private physician or on‑call physician
- Work in a constant state of alertness and safety
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or educational equivalency for licensing
- No experience required
- Constant use of speech for oral communication
- Constant standing and walking
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0‑25 lb
- Frequent sitting, reaching, and keyboard use/data entry
- Frequent use of vision, depth perception, and color distinction
- Frequent use of smell to detect odors
- Frequent use of hearing to receive oral communication, distinguish body sounds, and hear alarms or machinery
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects 25‑50 lb
- Occasional patient moving, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping, repetitive foot/leg, and hand/arm movements
- Occasional driving
- Rare crawling and running
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS HCP) – American Heart Association (AHA)
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS HCP) – American Heart Association (AHA)
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Nurse Licensure issued by Compact State
