Find your calling at Mercy! Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Full-time

Education:

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Knowledge of nursing principles, care, examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures, medications and their effects, patient education, development of self‑care programs, instruments and common safety practices.

Current valid state license.

CPR certification or obtain within 90 days of employment.

• Skill in assisting and performing a variety of medical treatments and procedures.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and policies.
• Ability to communicate clearly and establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff and the public.
• Basic computer terminal and keyboard skills, or ability to learn these skills, to access information and enter clinical data.
