PositionCloacina is hiring a Product Manager with a strong technical product development background to join our energetic and dedicated team of engineers and designers in our product management and development team. The role involves designing and implementing our membrane bioreactor package treatment systems, perfecting standard products and processes, and developing new and improved systems to meet industry needs. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred;
other engineering disciplines with relevant experience are acceptable. Experience in the wastewater/water treatment industry and in designing mechanical systems (pumps, piping, aeration) is also preferred but not required. The ideal candidate is passionate about the environment, improving community water resources, and possesses a background or interest in wastewater treatment, mechanical design, fabrication and welding, and demonstrates curiosity, solution orientation, dependability, and self‑motivation.
and Responsibilities
- Design systems to safely, efficiently, and effectively treat wastewater, remove harmful substances, and return water to the ecosystem; create municipal and industrial treatment plants for water and wastewater.
- Take inputs from multiple disciplines and evaluate and implement design parameters for the systems.
- Select equipment to meet design parameters.
- Evaluate existing equipment and emerging technologies to keep system design at the forefront of the industry.
- Coordinate with mechanical design team to design the system and generate standard drawings.
- Standardize design and generate template documentation to support products.
- Support a multi‑discipline team on technical questions related to the product.
- Conduct market analysis to determine worthwhile products to develop.
- Experience with PLM (product lifecycle management) and version control.
- Experience with operational logic control (control narratives) is a plus.
- Knowledge of statistical methods and reliability engineering is a plus.
- Maintain knowledge and subject matter expertise.
- Detail oriented and able to work independently.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Hybrid employee with flexible scheduling considered. Minimum 40% in‑office availability. Fully remote is not an option for this role at this time.
This is a full‑time position with benefits. Pay is DOE. Applicant must have a clean DMV record. There may be occasional traveling involved with this position.
