review: two (2) positions under the direction of the summer swim program supervisor, overseeing the day‑to‑day operation of the lmusd summer swim program at arroyo grande high school and nipomo high school pools.
minimum requirements- education: graduation from high school or equivalent.
- certifications: valid cpr certification & first aid course.
- lifeguard certifications (required): valid lifeguard certification with cpr/aed for the professional rescuer, first aid, epi and asthma training, emergency oxygen, first aid for the public safety personnel, and blood borne pathogens training.

responsibilities- lead training, scheduling, and performance of staff and student employees; supervise day‑to‑day staff activities.
- oversee daily implementation of aquatic programs for students and the public with district permission.
- respond to emergency situations with quick movements and, when necessary, assist or lift individuals.
- remain alert to dangerous situations while sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods.
- track and monitor daily revenue and expenditures for the summer swim program.
- adhere to aquatic safety standards and guidelines.
- perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.
- lead training, scheduling, and performance of staff and student employees.
- oversee daily implementation of aquatic programs for students and the public.
- respond to emergencies with rapid action.
- remain alert in all positions.
- track and monitor daily revenue and expenditures.
- adhere to aquatic safety standards.
- perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- stand and sit for extended periods; swim regardless of pool depth.
- read printed matter, with or without vision aids.
- hear and understand speech at normal levels.
- speak english so that others understand.
- lift and carry 100‑150 pounds to waist height.
- move throughout building and school grounds.
- concentrate on a single task for up to two hours.
- learn quickly and adapt to technology and procedures.
- meet deadlines.
- speak and write clearly and concisely.
- interact daily in person with district members and program staff.
- maintain consistent attendance.
- exhibit patient attitude toward students, parents, staff, and community.
- maintain privacy of confidential information.
