Serving as a Supervisory Law Enforcement Specialist (Instruction) GS-1801-15 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is located in the Office of Artesia Operations (OAO), in Artesia, New Mexico.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Site Director (SD) responsible for the direction, planning, management, and coordination of activities of the respective Training Delivery Point (TDP). The position provides supervision and senior management oversight for the TDP. The position is responsible for managing the operations to ensure delivery of high-quality training responsive to the needs of law enforcement agencies;
for formulating and implementing policies which relate to training program requirements, facility use, personnel activities, and budgetary matters; for representing the respective Assistant Director (AD), on matters affecting Center operations; and for managing logistical and support activities at the TDP.
The primary duties include ensuring the coordination of training activities, overseeing TDP operations, maintaining high-quality training delivery, implementing policies, and supporting logistics and administrative functions.

- Position is subject to the Lautenberg Amendment - persons convicted of misdemeanor crimes of domestic violence are prohibited from occupying this position.
- May be required to travel up to 50%.
- Required to complete an OGE 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, within 30 days of starting your federal employment and annually thereafter as long as you occupy a position that requires financial disclosure reporting.
- Overtime may be required.
- This position is Emergency Essential and required to sustain FLETC’s operations under all conditions.
