Position: Pipefitter-Austin Industrial - (Artesia, New Mexico)

Position:
Pipefitter – Artesia, NM

They must have experience working in the oil and gas industry laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. These systems support steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production processes. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Cut, thread, and hammer pipe using saws, torches, and threaders
  • Attach pipes to structures using brackets, clamps, or welding tools
  • Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading
  • Plan and install pipe systems per specifications
  • Maintain and modify pipe systems and related equipment
  • Install automatic controls and shut-off valves
  • Inspect work sites and ensure structural integrity
  • Operate pumps to remove water from flooded areas
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Experience – 3–5 years of journeyman-level pipe fitting
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • NCCER certification preferred not required
  • Valid Driver's License preferred, Any Photo
  • Must pass DISA background check and drug screen
  • Computer site training required
  • Meet physical demands as listed above
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed by the assigned location
  • Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment
