Basic FunctionHF Sinclair Midstream is seeking an Inspection Manager. This position supports Midstream Asset Integrity Management Plans and Programs by providing oversight of inspection and nondestructive examination (NDE) activities across Midstream assets. Establishes all inspector onboarding, qualification requirements, documentation, and quality expectations so inspection work is performed safely, consistently, and in accordance with HF Sinclair Midstream Asset Integrity requirements, applicable codes, and standards.
Ensures Quality Assurance and Quality control of inspection duties and necessary documentation is completed and submitted to document records.

- Supports Midstream inspection activities for pipelines, terminals, tanks, pressure equipment, piping, and related facilities through work with Project Management and Integrity Managers.
- Onboards contractor inspectors and NDE contractors to applicable HF Sinclair Midstream standards, Asset Integrity procedures, site requirements, and documentation expectations before work begins.
- Defines and communicates the inspection and NDE methods required for assigned work, including the applicable procedure, technique, examination extent, acceptance criteria, personnel qualification, and reporting requirements.
- Verifies contractor personnel qualifications, certifications, training, and experience are appropriate for the assigned inspection or NDE activity and maintains accessible qualification records.
- Works with Asset Integrity Managers to ensure inspection documentation requirements, including inspection plans, field reports, examination records, photographs, drawings, data sheets, calibration records, repair recommendations, final reports, and record turnover packages.
- Develops and administers QA/QC requirements for inspection and NDE activities, including review of procedures, technician qualifications, equipment calibration, examination coverage, data quality, report accuracy, and resolution of nonconforming work.
- Performs or coordinates surveillance and audits of inspection activities to verify conformance with approved procedures, project specifications, applicable codes and standards, and HF Sinclair Midstream requirements.
- Works with Asset Integrity Managers, Project Managers, and Operations to ensure inspection findings are clearly documented, technically reviewed, risk screened, communicated to appropriate stakeholders, and entered into designated recordkeeping or work management systems.
- Provides technical leadership in association with the Asset Integrity SME’s for evaluation of inspection results, damage mechanisms, equipment condition, repair recommendations, reinspection intervals, and escalation of conditions that may affect safe and reliable operation.
- Ensures inspection-related changes are evaluated and processed through the applicable Management of Change process before implementation when required, including changes to inspection methods, acceptance criteria, equipment, materials, procedures, or operating conditions.
- Supports development and maintenance of Midstream inspection procedures, specifications, standard forms, contractor expectations, quality plans, and records management practices.
- Supports selection, qualification, performance management, and continuous improvement of inspection and NDE service providers.
- May support incident investigations, failure analyses, repair planning, fitness-for-service evaluations, risk assessments, audits, regulatory inspections, and special inspection initiatives as assigned.
- Promotes consistent application of inspection best practices across Midstream locations and facilitates lessons learned and technical knowledge sharing among inspectors, engineers, operations personnel, and contractors.
- Ensures inspection records are complete, accurate, traceable, and audit-ready condition in accordance with applicable retention and document control requirements.
- Participates in budgeting, forecasting, contract administration, and cost control for inspection and NDE services as assigned.
- Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their superior, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.
