Armed Security Officer

Chenega’s Strategic Security Business Unit (SSBU) is seeking dedicated Armed Security Officers who take pride in protecting critical personnel, facilities, and operations in high‑visibility, high‑responsibility environments. This role is ideal for security professionals who value integrity, vigilance, and service, and who want to be part of a team that supports national security objectives.
As an Armed Security Officer, you will serve on the frontline of protection, maintaining a secure environment through proactive presence, sound judgment, and strict adherence to security protocols. You will represent Chenega and our federal clients with professionalism while contributing directly to the safety and continuity of vital operations.
Responsibilities- Provide access control and traffic control, ensuring safe and secure entry, exit, and movement throughout designated areas.
- Conduct armed security patrols, both on foot and in motorized vehicles, to maintain a visible security presence and deter unauthorized activity.
- Perform personnel, vehicular, building, and facility checks to verify compliance with security standards and procedures.
- Inspect packages and parcels in accordance with established security guidelines.
- Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on operational requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of overall security operations.
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Two years of service in the United States Armed Services (including Reserve or National Guard), or
- Preferred, but not required:
Any combination of two years of experience in physical security (as a security officer—armed or unarmed) and service with the United States Armed Services (including Reserves or National Guard), or associate's degree in a Security or Law Enforcement related field, or successful completion of a police officer’s basic training academy. - Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
- Ability to successfully meet all Physical Agility Test (PAT) standards as required by the customer.
- Completion and passing of the MMPI psychological assessment.
