Compensation:
Pay:
From $34.00 to $40.80 per hour (based on experience)
Annual pay can be calculated using an estimated 2,300 hours worked per year.
Example:
2,080 hours (40hrs
* 52wks) at $34.00 = $70,720.00 per year
220 overtime hours at time and a half $51.00 = $11,220.00 per year
Total Estimated Annual Pay based on 2,300 hours: $81,940.00 per year
Position Type:
Full-Time Non-Exempt
In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay Act, Compensation Differentials for this position are based on education, experience, training, and geographic location, as well as DWC's seniority and merit systems.
Job Responsibilities:- Ensure clients comply with tax authorities while minimizing tax burdens and adhering to firm policies.
- Coordinate engagements, communicating expectations, and providing guidance to Tax staff.
- Conduct detailed reviews on basic tax returns, identifying potential tax issues and book-to-tax differences.
- Meet internal and client deadlines, delivering timely and quality tax services.
- Conduct research on tax issues, analyze findings, and communicate the analysis effectively.
- Assist in developing efficient methods to maximize client benefits and reduce tax liabilities.
- Identify consulting opportunities to enhance clients' tax positions.
- Document significant tax positions accurately, following firm and office policies.
- Introduce and develop innovative ideas to improve clients' financial positions.
- Mentor and support Staff Accountants, fostering a culture of knowledge transfer and growth.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, MBA or Masters of Accountancy preferred.
- Two or more years of public accounting experience.
- CPA certification or progress towards it preferred.
- Knowledge of tax compliance and consulting principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a team.
