Accounts Payables Clerk

Summary:

The Accounts Payables Clerk is responsible for receiving, processing, and verifying invoices, tracking and recording purchase orders, and processing payments.

Salary Range: $22.85-$26.88

• Full control over incoming vendors' invoices and responsible for the workflow process for incoming invoices
• Process checks, requests and expense reports regularly
• Monthly AP subledger review and reconciliation
• Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures
• Work independently, displaying sound judgement in determining matters that should be referred to a supervisor
• Research errors and complaints and work toward appropriate resolution
• Effectively plan and organise daily activities to ensure accurate and timely processing of high‑volume data entry and related information; meet deadlines and handle more than one project at a time
• Develop constructive, helpful and professional relationships; work well with supervisors, other employees and vendors
• Other tasks and projects as required

Education & Experience

• Associate degree with emphasis in Accounting or related work experience
• 2-4 years of related experience
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable but not required; familiar with GAAP
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
• Experience in developing and maintaining relationships and the ability to interact with all levels of the organisation

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and advanced proficiency in Excel
• SAP preferred but not required
• Strong analytical skills with ability to calculate figures and amounts and perform basic math functions
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and handle several abstract and concrete variables
• Strong analytical skills with ability to identify opportunities
• Exhibit strong decision‑making skills and ability to grasp and communicate complex concepts quickly and independently

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb and use hands to grip regularly
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, colour vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Prolonged periods of sitting
• Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined
• Adhere to all safety rules, policies and regulations in relation to OSHA and Mark VII Equipment standards
