Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the public at the counter, telephone and emails promptly
- Process daily transfers from a recording search of ownership and titles
- Continue to maintain subdivision & metes and bounds official record
- Process maps for metes and bounds properties
- Assist both the public and appraisers in the process of appeals during the appeal periods
- Create mailing labels, sales reports, subdivision reports and other reports as requested by customers and the Administrative Supervisor
- Run reports and gather data for the Assessor’s office as well as other departments within Park County, and provide information to other State and Federal government agencies
- Research issues with land, title and ownership
- Perform special projects and tasks assigned by the supervisor
- Assist in the process of personal property
- Acts as a lead to other Administrative Technicians and assists in training
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of the duties of a Colorado Assessor’s Office
- Ability to communicate complicated and occasionally upsetting information to taxpayers in an effective manner
- Ability to apply basic mathematical and geometry principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to monitor and review own work for accuracy and thoroughness
- Ability to multi‑task and to plan and prioritize assignments
- Ability to adapt to frequent changes, delays or unexpected events with respect to assignments
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing and verbally
- Ability to read, interpret and analyze information
- Ability to follow procedures and policies
- Ability to react under pressure in a professional manner and to approach difficult situations in a tactful manner
This position will interact with internal staff and other County staff on a daily basis to provide administrative support. It will also have contact with citizens, representatives from other government agencies or businesses to answer questions or provide information.
Responsibility for Property, Materials, Money, and Confidential InformationThis position is responsible for the confidentiality of information connected with the routine performance of duties in this office. Types of equipment used include: personal computer, copy machine, printer, county vehicle, maps, camera, telephone, calculator, Microfiche viewer. Confidentiality of information used in the performance of the job is subject to the Colorado Open Records Act.
Physical Requirements and Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and sit, to use hands and fingers, and to reach with hands and arms. The employee might be required to stand occasionally and lift or move up to 10 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Time is divided between work at a desk or counter.

Qualifications- High School Diploma
