About the Job

Lumin8 Transportation Technologies LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Crew Leader to join our team. Our Construction Crew Leaders work under the direction of the Superintendent. The qualified individual will be responsible for all construction activities related to the installation of new vehicular traffic monitoring sensors, including leading a crew in the closure of travel lanes in the roadway, trenching and installation of conduit, installation of concrete pole foundations, and installation of traffic monitoring sensors in the roadway.

Crew leaders must ensure compliance of plans and specifications according to contract protocols and company requirements.

This is a challenging assignment. Our crews work primarily at night, often on the highway, performing construction work to install traffic counters and sensors.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree from a two‑year college or university (preferred), and/or 4‑6 years related experience and/or formalized training.
  • Previous construction experience in traffic monitoring, signalized intersections, and/or maintenance of traffic.
  • Experience in operating construction equipment, including floor saw, pavement breaker, air compressors, excavation equipment, etc.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong initiative, attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to lead a small construction crew in the field.
  • Ability to multi‑task and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and implement written instructions and plans.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to take initiative and work in a learning environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with crew and supervisor.
