Hello! We're on the hunt for a top-tier Prepress Graphic Artist to join our dynamic team as an established custom-label company. We are looking for someone who is highly skilled but, most of all, great to work on a team and has extremely high problem-solving skills and drive.
In this role, you will be the connection between our sales and production teams. You will be responsible for operating the machine and, at times, proofing and preparing artwork with the correct files for the prepress machine. If you're self-driven and adept at problem-solving, this is the ideal role for you. Strong communication must be maintained between sales, production team and clients.
You must be able to handle high-speed environments and be proficient in Excel spreadsheets.
- Take files and clean them up so they are ready to print on our digital presses
- Learn all our software that helps get files prepared to go to the Indigos
- Help set up new software when they are purchased
- Produce high-quality artwork that adheres to our brand and company identity guidelines
- Deliver artwork for a wide array of communications material, including advertising, branding, and marketing projects
- Adapt designs based on feedback from internal stakeholders
- Create print-ready artwork for various teams
- Develop design concepts, graphics, and layouts that are innovative and compelling
- Refine images, fonts, and layouts using graphic design software
- Design original pieces, including illustrations and infographics
- Review junior designers’ work to ensure high quality
- Liaise with marketing, sales, and creative teams to meet deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field
- Proven experience as a Senior Designer, Graphic Designer, or similar role
- Proficient in image editing software like Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
- Strong aesthetic skills, attention to visual details, and ability to meet deadlines
- BSc degree in Design, Visual Arts, or a relevant field, such as Adobe Suite
- Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
- Proficient in design software (i.e. InDesign)
- Proficient in Excel Spreadsheets
- Ability to work with a range of media and graphic design software
- Problem-solving abilities and higher-level thinking
Patience with others - Must know how to use Illustrator
