Full Time Secondary Special Education Paraprofessional

Paraprofessionals are responsible for helping students with academic difficulties. They may work one‑on‑one or in small groups to provide instruction, encouragement, and support for students. The paraprofessional works within the regular education classroom and/or Special Education Classroom under the supervision of the Special Education teacher and will receive on‑the‑job training from the teacher(s).

Perform any other related duties as assigned.

• Assist in the utilization and maintenance of instructional and non‑instructional equipment, including a personal computer if necessary.
• Use standard office equipment, such as personal computers and copiers.

• Ability to report work orally or in writing to supervisor as required.
• Effective writing and communication skills.

Works in standard office and school building environments.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience working with children desirable. Title 1/Special Education staff will also provide on‑the‑job training and supervision for candidates.

Position is for 8 hours each day, Monday‑Thursday (and some Fridays due to current calendar changes for Fall 2025 only).

Wages are based on the 2025‑2026 Salary Scale available on www.pvsd
50.org. Wage starts at $16.56/hr.
