Forge Christian High School is seeking a Bible Teacher to inspire and equip students to know their God‑given purpose and spiritual shape so that they may passionately and courageously take Jesus into a world that desperately needs Him.

Teaching & Learning Team Purpose Statement

The Teaching and Learning Team advances academic excellence and Christ‑centered instructional practice at Forge Christian High School by supporting faculty development, strengthening instructional effectiveness, promoting biblical worldview integration, and fostering a culture of continuous growth in teaching and learning. The team partners with school leadership and faculty to ensure alignment in instructional practices that support student achievement, spiritual formation, and the overall mission and vision of Forge Christian High School.

Purpose Statement

To efficiently and successfully meet educational needs of all students in a manner that promotes excellence and develops a Biblical worldview. Teachers will execute a level of implementation and growth, as needed, in the key instructional strategies which are integrated into the classroom observation tool. Teachers will act timely and professionally under the completion of various administrative and curricular tasks required by the Head of School and included in the summative review tool.

Teachers shall encourage and foster the spiritual and educational wellbeing of all students.

Responsibilities
  • Live out a daily, authentic relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrating grace, truth, and spiritual maturity in all areas of life and work
  • Discern and follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit throughout the school day, seeking His direction in instruction, relationships, and decision‑making
  • Integrate Scripture, biblical truths, and practical application into all subject areas, ensuring that the majority of instructional units include meaningful biblical illumination
  • Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans for assigned courses, equipping students for academic and spiritual growth
  • Engage in ongoing curriculum development in collaboration with school leadership and fellow educators
  • For each course taught, prepare and submit the following to the Head of School:
    • Weekly lesson plans, classroom materials, and homework assignments posted in FACTS by the designated deadline
    • A course description, syllabus, and a current curriculum map aligned with Curriculum Trak standards
    • Expected Student Outcomes updated at the conclusion of each semester
  • Utilize research‑based instructional strategies from resources such as Teach Like a Champion and The First Days of School to support multi‑sensory learning, small group instruction, cooperative learning, and Socratic methods
  • Leverage technology thoughtfully as a supplemental tool to enhance instruction and student engagement
  • Employ both formative and summative assessments to monitor and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs and styles
  • Interpret and analyze student performance data to inform instructional decisions and interventions
  • Apply appropriate intervention strategies for students in need, maintaining detailed anecdotal records and implementing targeted support methods
  • Submit attendance and grades punctually, in alignment with campus policy
  • Submit book and material orders for the following school year in collaboration with department heads
  • Demonstrate professionalism, resourcefulness, and excellence in the areas of time management, problem solving, communication, team building, creativity, and decision‑making
  • Participate in the school’s continuous improvement efforts, including the accreditation process
  • Attend all required faculty meetings, workshops, and professional development opportunities
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with students, parents, and fellow staff members to build strong, Christ‑centered relationships
Other Responsibilities
  • Instruct students during routine drills and live situations such as fire and intruder drills
  • Take attendance each class period
