Job Overview
Remote English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher for the Colorado Destinations Career Academy (CODCA), a Stride K12 partner school. The position is full‑time, remote, and requires an ability to work independently with a typical schedule of 40+ hours per week.
General EducationFocus on K12 virtual schools offering courses in English, history, math, science, music, art, world languages, and other personalized subjects. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree and 0–1 year of related professional experience.

- Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
- Commit to personalizing learning for all students.
- Demonstrate belief in all students’ ability to succeed and meet high expectations.
- Differentiates instruction based on student level of mastery.
- Augments course content according to prescribed policies and procedures using appropriate tools under guidance from principal and coach.
- Maintain grade book, ensuring student academic integrity, make placement and promotion decisions, and alert administrators to performance concerns.
- Prepare students for high‑stakes standardized tests.
- Establish and maintain positive rapport with families, communicating regularly and responding promptly.
- Support coaching teams and parents with curricular and instructional issues, including troubleshooting in a virtual classroom environment per academy policies.
- Travel as required (average once per month and/or approximately 20%).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Active state teaching license.
- Ability to clear required background check.

- Collaborate with teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data and use it to drive instructional decisions.
- Receptive to receiving coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
- Embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
- Maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
- Experience working with the proposed age group.
- Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology.
- Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or a brick‑and‑mortar environment.
- Experience with online learning platforms.
- Salary range: $48,752.00 – $60,940.00 (annual, exempt).
- Potential eligibility for bonus.
- Benefits package may include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
- Position is virtual.
The ideal candidate is an experienced ELD educator comfortable with virtual instruction, skilled in culturally responsive practices, and adept at using technology to engage students and monitor language growth.
