Adjunct Instructor of English

Responsibilities

Adjunct Instructor will teach First‑Year Rhetoric and Writing courses at the baccalaureate level.

• Prepare and present course materials according to department curricular needs.
• Administer appropriate evaluations of student performance.
• Prepare, administer, and grade assignments.
• Hold office hours.
• Assign final grades.

• M.A. in English, Rhetoric, Communication, or related field, or a bachelor’s degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the field.
• At least one year of college‑level teaching experience.

• Experience teaching rhetoric and writing courses at the college level.
• Experience teaching Speaking and Listening or Public Speaking at the college level.
• Experience working with a diverse student and staff population.

$1,000 per credit hour up to 24 combined credit hours for Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
