We’re partnering with a K–8 charter school in El Paso County, Colorado (Colorado Springs area) to hire a dedicated Special Education Teacher / Case Manager
.
This Special Education Teacher (Case Manager) supports students with disabilities by managing IEP services, collaborating with school teams, and ensuring students receive the appropriate accommodations and instruction to succeed.
Responsibilities- Schedule:
35 hours weekly - School Year:
2026/2027 - Manage special education caseload and serve as the primary point of contact for assigned students
- Coordinate the development, implementation, and compliance of IEPs (meetings, documentation, timelines)
- Collaborate with general education teachers and service providers to implement accommodations/modifications
- Provide direct instruction and/or support in inclusion and/or small-group settings (based on student needs)
- Monitor progress toward IEP goals; collect data and adjust supports as needed
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and services
- Maintain accurate, compliant documentation aligned to state and federal special education requirements
- Participate in multidisciplinary team collaboration and problem-solving to support student outcomes
- Experience with IEP case management and special education compliance strongly preferred
- Experience supporting K–8 learners in school settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of accommodations, modifications, and evidence-based special education practices
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills
