Your skills will help shape the academic and social growth of students ages 5–12. You’ll create a supportive learning environment where each child’s unique needs are understood and addressed. With a manageable caseload and the support of your school community, you’ll have every opportunity to make a difference from day one.
Qualifications and
Experience:
- Current Colorado Teaching License with Special Education Generalist (Ages 5–21) Endorsement required.
- Recent experience working with elementary students with affective needs preferred.
- Strong ability to build positive relationships and collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Flexibility to complete time-sensitive district credentialing and contractor documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and develop IEPs for students in an affective needs classroom.
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment where all students can thrive.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and administrators to implement best practices.
- Communicate regularly with families to support student progress.
- Monitor and document student growth, behavior, and achievement.
