Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented Quality Engineer to join our team in Denver, CO
.

What You’ll Get To Do
  • Have multiple years of experience develop and mentor new engineers.
  • Lead on‑site supplier engagements, including multiple people team activities such as supplier quarterly performance reviews and audits.
  • Understands continuous process improvement (CI) and can effectively develop and execute CI initiatives and activities.
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify suppliers’ process issues and developing solutions, and present to all levels of leadership.
  • Effectively perform supplier surveillance activities designed to manage and improve supplier performance, productivity, and process validation.
  • Apply technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts to analyze and audit our suppliers’ processes and capabilities.
  • Capable of leading cross‑functional teams in pursuit of performance improvements aligned to department and organizational goals.
  • Mitigate supplier quality risk to prevent/minimize business impact from supplied material defects.
  • Proactive reduction and prevention of supplied material defect occurrences and verification of supplied material defect claims.
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Understands general contracting principles in a Department of Defense and commercial environment.
  • Establish positive working relationships with suppliers and internal teams. Represent the company with credibility, confidence and professionalism.
  • Ideal candidate must be able to travel up to 75% of the time.
Requisition Note

This requisition may be filled at either a Principal Supplier Engineer (level
3) or Sr. Principal Software Engineer (level
4).

Basic Qualifications For a Supplier Quality Engineer 3
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related technical field with 5 or more years of relevant experience in Quality, Manufacturing or Design Engineering (9 or more years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor degree).
  • Experience inspecting Printed Wiring Boards.
  • Inspection experience, process knowledge and/or manufacturing engineering experience in PWB.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 requirements.
  • Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Experience leading teams and projects.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • US Citizenship required.
Basic Qualifications For a Supplier Quality Engineer 4
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related technical field with 8 or more years of relevant experience in Quality, Manufacturing or Design Engineering or 14 or more years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor degree.
