Electrical Engineer II
Salary: $100K-$130K yearly,
Location:
South Point, OH. Employment:
Direct Hire.
Work hours:
Mon‑Fri 7:00am to 4:30pm.

- Read and interpret electrical drawings, technical drawings, and schematics at a high level.
- Create electrical design drawings using AutoCAD Electric.
- With some guidance from senior electrical engineers, work from project specifications and reference documents to update and/or create new electrical power and control design documents.
- Perform most electrical calculations for current and new designs with limited assistance.
- Update instrumentation and electrical and control portions of a P& with little guidance.
- Able to program PLCs and HMIs and set up most PID loop designs with limited assistance from a senior electrical engineer.
- Knowledgeable of MS Office and similar business related software and perform basic functions.
- Competent in the use of Epicor and can add and manage BOMs, perform required research to needed information, and assist with the management of project schedules.
- Assist in leading a team of fellow engineers, designers, and drafters with resolving design challenges.
- Perform intermediate electrical troubleshooting and problem solving with some oversight.
- Interface with engineering staff, manufacturing staff, and operations staff productively to gain needed information for proper electrical design work.
- Participate in engineering design meetings to learn and grow experience of design methods and processes.
- Work closely with fellow engineers, designers, and drafters to improve quality and efficiency.
- Guide entry level electrical designers and CAD drafters in the performance of their work.
- Contribute to electrical design reviews for new and existing product designs.
- Has advanced knowledge of the National Electric Code, IEEE standards, MSHA, and other applicable standards, and uses this knowledge to teach and grow members of the electrical team.
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in PDC (Power Distribution Center) field.
