Position SummarySenior Manager, SSD Product Validation Engineering – lead validation efforts across multiple SSD programs. Define and execute validation strategies, manage multidisciplinary teams, and ensure alignment with product and customer requirements. Requires deep technical expertise in SSD architecture and validation, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for quality and innovation.
Responsibilities Validation Strategy & Execution- Define and drive comprehensive validation strategies across SSD programs.
- Recommend new validation approaches that drive better coverage, more accurate testing, and expanded testing services.
- Identify and resolve all test gaps identified in development and customer qualification.
- Ensure alignment with OEM system requirements, customer use cases, and internal quality metrics.
- Foster continuous improvement in test methodologies, automation frameworks, and lab infrastructure.
- Lead and mentor a team of validation engineers and managers.
- Set strategic direction, establish goals, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Support career development through coaching, training, and succession planning.
- Communicate with TPMs, Firmware, Hardware, and Business Unit stakeholders.
- Coordinate validation deliverables to meet program milestones.
- Provide real‑time updates on validation progress, defect status, and risk mitigation.
- Monitor defect activity and ensure timely triage and resolution.
- Conduct periodic reviews of validation KPIs and risk indicators.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 8–10+ years of experience in SSD validation or test development.
- Proven leadership experience in managing technical teams and multi‑functional collaboration.
- Deep understanding of SSD architecture, NVMe/PCIe protocols, and validation frameworks (e.g., PVE, FTE, CVE).
- Experience with automation tools, JIRA, Confluence, and lab infrastructure.
- Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, and partnership skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing environment with shifting demands.
- Experience with Agile product development processes and project management.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with enterprise SSD programs and customer‑facing validation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test automation.
