Experience:
3 years with MS/MA, 5 years with BS/BA, 7 years with AA/AS, 9 years of experience required in lieu of a degree. - Understanding of systems engineering principles and processes
- Experience with Agile development
- Ability to provide on-call, evening, and weekend support during system anomalies or mission requirements
- Must be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship.
- Must be able to maintain ability to access government worksite.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Project, Word, PowerPoint and Excel Office Products
- Experience in Server System Administration and troubleshooting analysis in some or all the following platforms:
Linux, Windows servers, clients, and Oracle/SQL Databases - Effectively communicate and present to project and program management, other technical managers and customers
- Ability to interface with multiple stakeholders from a variety of organizations (internally and externally) in support of requirements development
- Solid technical foundation in Systems Engineering processes
- Experience with Systems Integration and System/Software Testing, including virtualized environments
- Working knowledge of system design and overall integration into an operational environment
- Detailed knowledge of Windows and Unix environments
- Security + or another DoD 8570 approved certification
Peraton is seeking a motivated, mid-level Systems Engineer in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to support our Front Range Operations and Sustainment Team (FROST) program, delivering mission-critical satellite operations and ground system support for a government customer.
This program provides real-time on-orbit support, launch and ascent operations, and End-of-Life (EOL) support for multiple national security satellite programs. The team serves as a key operational and engineering interface to the Satellite Control Network (SCN), ensuring mission success across all phases of satellite operations.
Operations are primarily conducted at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado, with additional support at other operational locations as required. The program enforces rigorous information assurance standards to protect both unclassified and classified data across all domains.
This postion will be responsible for the following:
- Assist in the implementation of the required government policy to make recommendations on project tailoring, participate in and document project activities
- Perform both technical and non-technical assessments of requirements and work with functional area personnel to develop design to remediate those requirements.
- This position is primarily focused on the Operations & Sustainment of several interconnected networks; however, knowledge of the System Engineering processes, Agile development, and Dev Ops is essential for mission success
