Position Duties

The Sr. Lead Process Engineer will lead the design, optimization, and sustainment of manufacturing and assembly processes to improve product quality, efficiency, and scalability.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design, optimize, and sustain manufacturing and assembly processes across production environments and new product launches.
  • Analyze manufacturing and production processes to identify inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance and functional leadership to engineers and production personnel, overseeing work performed by technicians and industrial engineers.
  • Develop, maintain, and sustain manufacturing work instructions and process documentation, including within MES.
  • Perform line balancing, cycle‑time analysis, and labor optimization to meet takt time and production volume targets.
  • Design, specify, and support tooling, fixtures, assembly aids, and manufacturing equipment for manual and semi‑automated processes.
  • Support New Product Introduction activities, including pilot builds, process validation, tooling readiness, and transition to full production.
  • Conduct manufacturing risk analysis, including PFMEA, and support implementation of process risk‑mitigation actions.
  • Implement error‑proofing (poka‑yoke) and process risk mitigation solutions to reduce defects, variation, and rework.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers on equipment design, process optimization, and capacity improvements.
  • Develop manufacturing layouts and process flow designs using CAD‑based tools.

Supervises a multi‑disciplinary team of engineering and technical personnel, including engineers, engineering technicians, and maintenance staff. Required travel:
Up to 10% or less, including occasional domestic and international travel.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related discipline, or the equivalent foreign qualification, and 60 months of progressive experience in manufacturing or process engineering roles. Minimum experience must include:

  • Developing and improving manufacturing and assembly processes in a production environment.
  • Performing line balancing, cycle‑time analysis, and labor optimization.
  • Creating and sustaining manufacturing work instructions and documentation, including within MES.
  • Designing, specifying, and supporting tooling, fixtures, and assembly aids.
  • Developing manufacturing layouts and process flow designs using CAD tools.
  • Conducting manufacturing risk analysis including PFMEA.
  • Implementing error‑proofing (poka‑yoke) solutions.
  • Supporting New Product Introduction from a manufacturing process perspective.
