Role OverviewAs an Electrical Systems Engineer, you will work with business development and program management teams to shape multiple satellite missions simultaneously, each with a unique multi‑payload configuration. Your responsibilities will span program management, systems engineering, discipline engineering, and AI&T, allowing you to collaborate seamlessly across teams, drive innovation, and deliver impactful solutions in the evolving space industry.
Mission Objectives- Technical lead for electrical system design and subsystem procurements
- Create and maintain electrical architectures collaborating with internal teams and customers to meet mission requirements
- Perform system optimization trades analyzing performance and maintaining technical budgets
- Engage closely with internal teams and customers to craft and manage system specifications and verification techniques, ensuring alignment with ambiguous customer requirements
- Provide support to program and product management, serving as a liaison with customers to ensure smooth program execution
- Conduct inspections and reviews of engineering documents and hardware
- Support test planning and actively participate in integration and test campaigns at the spacecraft manufacturer’s site, ensuring adherence to rigorous quality standards
- Active Top Secret clearance required; the ability to obtain Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance
- Preference given to candidates with a DoD or Intelligence Community Top Secret background investigation and at least 3 years of eligibility remaining, or CE status; SCI eligibility with current experience in SCI programs and/or Special Access Programs
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Enjoy being the face of the technical requirements and working with a team to deliver quality hardware
- Pioneer innovation in aerospace, bringing commercial space solutions to U.S. government customers
- Comprehensive system‑level knowledge and experience in Electrical and RF subsystems
- Thrive in a dynamic and fast‑paced development environment, adapting and excelling under pressure
- Prior experience delivering a spacecraft to orbit and/or space‑qualified hardware to a customer
- 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer with detailed knowledge of spacecraft electrical architectures
- Pragmatic EMI and RF testing experience preferred
Per Colorado law, we are required to disclose the base compensation range for this role: $131,750 – $178,250 USD. Compensation will be determined by education, experience, skills, and performance. In addition to a competitive salary, you will receive a benefits package and work in a transparent, collaborative culture.
