As a Sr.
Electrical Design Engineer in our Space & Defense Group in East Aurora, NY or Arvada, CO you will be responsible for design and development of hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, electro-mechanical, servo-mechanism, and electro-pneumatic components and systems that will be used to test the products of Moog
. This position is responsible for design and development of new electrical test equipment, assemblies, and/or processes to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals. You will contribute to the design of test equipment to verify functional performance of products used on military, commercial, and space vehicles.

• Operate as a lead element in a team of creative, independent individuals.
• Lead to the development of new test equipment through consulting with internal customers.
• Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses.
• Integrate electronic components into higher level systems and test completed designs.
• Prepare, support, and guide the work of Assembly and Test technicians supporting your development activities.
• Contribute on work estimates for design and development efforts.
• Maintain engineering records, changes made and effects of changes on performance.
• Independently initiate and perform specialized research.
• Create reliable designs through a comprehensive experimental development test program.
• Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports.
• Mentor and coach less experienced engineers
• Shares values of “teamwork is a must” and thus good communication is key.

To be considered for the Sr. Electrical Design Engineer role, here’s what you’ll typically need to bring with you:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of hands-on electrical design experience, preferably in test equipment, controls, or similar systems
• OR an Associate's degree with 9+ years of hands-on electrical design experience
• Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
• Self-motivated, critical thinking and strong analytical skills

• DOORS experience
• Experience in the aerospace industry is a plus
