Sundays, 10:45 AM – 3:00 PM
Seasonal:
School Year
Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Counselor to join our Sunday program, working with individuals with disabilities aged 6-22. As a Counselor, you will support your Lead Counselor in overseeing a group of participants, ensuring their safety, facilitating activities, and supporting their social relationships. Groups are divided based on age, and you will work closely with the on-site Program Manager to maintain smooth and effective program operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and supervise a group of individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Maintain open communication with the on-site Program Manager.
- Plan with your Lead Counselor and facilitate activities, following the daily schedule.
- Manage behaviors and provide positive behavior support as needed.
- Support the development of social relationships among participants.
- Assist with activity development and implementation.
- Ensure a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for all participants.
Qualifications:
- Reliable and able to commit to all required Sundays.
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
- Timely, flexible, and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to support and encourage social interactions among participants.
