Dave Bocks & Associates Marketing is a Colorado-based marketing and advertising agency. We provide Ideas, Solutions and Results for a wide variety of clients. We opened our doors in 2008 and have been helping our clients thrive by applying our experience & personal service to their brand. We create and execute successful and efficient marketing solutions. We are a small, agile internal team with clearly defined creative and marketing roles searching for additional assistance in the digital and ecommerce world.
We are seeking an independent contractor associate to complement our skill sets by aiding us in improving the technical systems, attribution, and customer data architecture that will enable us to create smarter campaigns and clearer decision making. Specifically, we have a great vertically integrated beef brand client selling both online (Woo Commerce) and in-person (mercantile, farmers markets and special events). We are building a modern, data-driven marketing operation grounded in authenticity, storytelling, and measurable growth for ourselves and our clients.
TheProblem We’re Solving
Our customer data and reporting are fragmented across five different platforms:
Attribution, revenue reporting, and customer segmentation do not align across systems. This limits our ability to confidently measure performance, understand our customers, and re-engage them effectively through lifecycle and retention marketing.
The Associates RoleThis is a fractional, project-based contractor (associate) role - not an agency, not a full-time hire.
The new Associate will act as a technical operator and systems architect, working alongside our internal creative and marketing team to:
- Ecommerce Systems & Attribution
- Audit Woo Commerce, Square, Meta, GA4, and Mailchimp integration
- Identify and fix attribution issues (e.g., paid social showing as “Direct” on reporting mechanism)
Implement and validate:
- UTM strategy and persistence
- Meta Pixel + Conversions API (CAPI) with proper deduplication
- Ensure attribution data is stored and auditable at the Woo Commerce order level
Normalize customer data from:
- Online orders
- In-store POS (Square)
- Farmers market signups
- Improve how email addresses are captured, categorized, and synced
Advise on Mailchimp structure and limitations (this role does not write campaigns)
Website & Plugin Oversight
- Audit Word Press/Woo Commerce plugins from a systems and data-integrity perspective
- Recommend what should stay, be replaced, or removed
- Prevent plugins, caching, or redirects from breaking tracking or performance
Enable the Team
- Document systems and decisions clearly
- Train internal team via Zoom
- Provide practical SOPs and validation checklists
- Leave us more capable, not dependent
- Comfortable explaining technical concepts to non-technical teammates
- Independent contractor with their own business

- Works well with creatives and marketers

- Woo Commerce (technical configuration, not just content updates)
- Meta Pixel + Conversions API
- GA4 ecommerce tracking
- UTM strategy and attribution mechanics
- CRM/email platform data hygiene (Mailchimp or equivalent)
- Debugging and validation (not guessing)
- Square POS integrations
- Lifecycle or revenue operations experience
- Experience with consent management and iOS tracking constraints
- Fractional / project-based
- Estimated 5–10 hours per week initially
- Zoom availability required
