Indotronix is seeking a talented Software Engineer 2 to join our client's cutting-edge Internal Research and Development (IRAD) team in Colorado Springs, CO. This full-time, onsite position requires active Secret clearance and offers the unique opportunity to contribute to mission-critical projects that shape the future of defense and aerospace technology. As part of a collaborative, intellectually curious team, you will drive the development of innovative software solutions and play a key role in advancing multi-domain operations.

[Responsibilities] - Design, develop, and implement novel C++ applications for complex, mathematics- and physics-intensive systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze system requirements and translate them into robust software capabilities
- Support the review and validation of requirements and test cases to ensure high-quality software delivery
- Utilize Python and MATLAB for algorithm development and data analysis
- Operate within a Unix/Linux environment, ensuring seamless software integration and performance
- Contribute to ongoing research initiatives and help define possible solutions to national security challenges [Required Skills and Experience] - Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with at least 5 years relevant experience (or Master's with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year)
- Strong background in C++ software development and quick adaptability to new technologies
- Recent hands-on experience with MATLAB and Python
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux operating systems
- Active, in-scope DoD Secret security clearance
- Ability to work onsite in a secure, in-person environment [Preferred Skills] - Advanced Linux scripting and operational expertise
- Automated testing, static and dynamic code analysis

- Experience with containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes
- Familiarity with battle management or fire control systems
- Behavior Driven Development using tools such as Gherkin or Cucumber
- CI/CD pipelines and Atlassian suite (Jira, Git Hub, Git Lab, Jenkins)
- Model Based Systems Engineering environment experience
